The Village
Poggio Cennina Village is a magical place. Situated on the rolling mountains overlooking a breathtaking view of the southern region of Chianti in Tuscany.
In 2022, a small group of entrepreneurs passionate about creating a community for entrepreneurs in Tuscany discovered the property was for sale. After meeting with the owners, they decided to start the process of acquiring the property and build their dream of a fully operating community for entrepreneurs that want to live, stay long-term & host retreats in the breathtaking countryside of Tuscany.
The History
It was here at Poggio Cennina that the world-famous Italian football/soccer player Paolo Rossi decided to make his dream come true with his wife and business partner. They wanted to create a healthy retreat, far from the humdrum of daily life in the Tuscan countryside, where the passage of time is marked by the rising and setting of the sun & the coming and going of the grape & olive seasons.
Poggio Cennina Village was created on organic principles: it is a place where nature & rejuvenation take precedence. There are eighty-four hectares of forest, vines, olives & fruit-trees. Agriculture is cultivated in a responsible way, with respect for the land. However, this is not just a fertile land with a wealth of nature’s products, it is also a warm & inviting place offering guests the great opportunity of staying in our Tuscan Villas that are designed like traditional, luxury, charming farmhouses. Poggio Cennina is a small village with a grand atmosphere, where you can lie back & discover how tranquil Italian life can be, walk through the grounds, stroll past the lake, play a game of tennis or futbol/soccer while enjoying a steam bath afterwards.

The Villas
All villas are made of local Tuscan stone. The internal flooring is classic terracotta tile & the ceilings beams are made of local chestnut wood. Each home has a hearth & fireplace, a full kitchen, dining room, storage space & each bedroom has its own bathroom.
The villas have been designed in the local traditional Tuscan style with a luxurious eye. You can choose whether to spend your time in solitude or in romantic company meeting the other inhabitants of the village.

Poggio Cennina Village is a community where entrepreneurs can have their own private Italian getaway. Each property owner will also have a percentage of ownership in the Poggio Cennina wine & olive oil business to enjoy & share with their friends & business associates. It is a place to relax, let the world melt away & enjoy everything the Tuscan lifestyle has to offer.
The Vineyard & Event Space
The Poggio Cennina vineyard has been an organic farm for over 40 years making wine exclusively produced from vineyards on the property. The village has approximately 80 hectares, of which: 12.5 hectares of vineyard 6.5 hectares has variety of olive trees. There are 6 hectares of arable land, 42 hectares of forest.
The “Azienda agricola Poggio Cennina” produces olive oil & wine.
In addition to having entrepreneurs stay & live at Poggio Cennina Village there will also be a section of the property that is reserved for business events & retreats.
This area is perfect for business retreats for members, private organizations & companies to host an incredible Tuscan getaway with everything needed to facilitate the experience!

Fancy a horse ride? The “Cavallo Toscano” riding school is just 15 km from Poggio Cennina. A half-hour’s drive will bring you to “L’Ugolino”, Florence’s prestigious golf club. Poggio Cennina’s strategic position makes it easy to reach Tuscany’s most important historic cities and most notable restaurants. The toll road that runs between Rome & Florence is just 12 minutes from the property & the Bucine train station is just 7 minutes away. Taking the train or drive from Rome or Florence will be sure to take your breath away with the scenic views, ancient villages & rural Tuscan roads.
